In order for you to be fully prepared for your upcoming visit to BattleSports we have the answers to some frequently asked questions for you to read. Please also make sure that this information is shared with all the players in your group so that you all arrive fully prepared. If you still have any questions don’t hesitate to call us or send a message.
WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE ON SITE?
Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your session. Those starting at 11:00am will be asked to arrive at 10:45am and those starting at 14:00pm will be asked to arrive at 13:45pm.
WHEN SHOULD WE LEAVE SITE?
If you have booked a party with us then you will have 30 minutes use of one of our party areas at the end of your session. If your session is in the morning please make sure to leave the area after your allotted time to facilitate the incoming group. If your session is in the afternoon please be aware that the gates shut at 16:30.
For PAY & PLAY 1 HOUR SESSIONS you are welcome to stay and make use of our cafe following your game but please note that there is no private party area on these sessions and we ask you to be considerate to the next group arriving to play by leaving the site within 30 mins.
DO YOU DO PARTY FOOD?
We now offer party food that can be ordered for after your session. A party menu can be found on the prices/book page. You can add food to your order when booking online, or by completing the online form within the order confirmation email. This needs to be with us at least 3 days before your event. We also have a small cafe where hot/cold drinks and snacks can be bought. We ask that no food is brought on site other than birthday cake.
Please click HERE to view our party menu.
WHAT IF I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION?
Please make us aware of any medical conditions you have that may affect your session, including asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions etc. The sooner we are made aware of any conditions the sooner we will be able to assess if the activity is suitable for you. For example, if you are pregnant you will not be allowed to participate in the activities.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
In order to save time, please arrive ready for play. Players should wear comfortable clothing suitable for the outdoors and suitable for the season they will be playing in. All players are required to wear a hat (or something similar that covers your head) during play so it is recommended to bring your own. We do have hats available to borrow for no additional charge if you choose not to bring your own. In wet weather it is advisable to wear a thin layer of waterproof clothing. During colder months it may also be wise to wear gloves.
It can be muddy, wet and slippery in places. Some players choose to wear football or rugby boots, these can be a good choice for grip however you are sacrificing ankle support in favour of more grip. Other players like to wear wellington boots during wetter months, it is up to each player if they would rather sacrifice ankle support for waterproofing. No slip-ons, sandals and definitely no high heels are permitted on any game zone!
IS IT PHYSICALLY TIRING?
The activity is only as tiring as you want to make it, if you are happy to hang back and “Camp” this is fine with us. People of all levels of fitness can enjoy laser tag.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE?
Outdoor laser tag is suitable for most people aged 8+. Due to insurance rulings, the youngest age we can accept is 7 years old.
WHO LOOKS AFTER THE PLAYERS?
Players will be fully supervised throughout the session from our experienced marshals. All Marshals are first aid trained and DBS checked. We require all players under 18 to be signed in by a responsible adult who must stay onsite during the session. The role of the responsible adult is to ensure players footwear is appropriate and secured, and that the children in their charge behave sensibly and safely while on site. We have an on-site café and viewing area where any non players are welcome to stay during the event.
DOES IT HURT?
No. All of our simulated weapons use infra-red technology, which sends a harmless signal out from your gun that can’t even be seen with the naked eye. There are no physical projectiles fired from the weapons so there isn’t even a need to wear goggles.
HOW DO TEAMS WORK?
If you are the only group playing in the session you will be split in two and will be fighting against each other. When there is more than one group in the session we try to match the groups as closely as possible in age range and group size so that you will be able to stick with your friends and play against an enemy team. In events where group sizes are not even, it is best that each group is split in two and each half will join the other group to form a team. This means that all players will have friends to both team up with and shoot against.
If you would like to book an EXCLUSIVE event for just your group then PLEASE CHOOSE THAT OPTION WHEN BOOKING OR CONTACT US TO SEE IF THIS IS POSSIBLE
